Another Aussie Saab 9-5 review

The first new Saab 9-5 Sedans arrived in Australia earlier this year. The reviews are starting to pop up and the Aussies seem to be enjoying the Saab:

The 9-5, built on an inherited GM platform, comes in diesel and two petrol models.

We drove all three variants on some challenging roads around Daylesford, and apart from good performance and handling, all had firmer than expected suspension.

The nicely-built and beautifully-finished 9-5 measures up well in its class and retains classic Saab features like the ignition on the console between the front seats and the ‘hockey stick’ side window design.

But it also has some new Scandinavian bits, such as the ‘ice block’ pattern in its head and taillights and ‘smart’ headlights that automatically adjust their reach and spread through seven different patterns, according to speed, road conditions and weather.
