Companies with claims on Saab

It is no secret that Saab has been in a financially difficult position for several months now. So far Saab has secured around EUR 78 million in new short-term funding, but Saab needs more to be able to run the manufacturing in the short-term. A sale and leaseback deal for Saab's property can be a step on the way to secure enough cash for the short-term. The medium and long-term funding is supposed to be secured through the deals with Chinese Pang Da and Youngman.

This week production at Saab is suspended pending a more stable supply of parts. Negotiations with suppliers are ongoing to try to agree on payment plans for past deliveries and delivery and payment terms for future deliveries. Deliveries that are needed to restart the production.

At the same time 54 claims of unpaid deliveries have been reported to the Swedish Enforcement Authority. This does not mean that the companies which has reported their claims to the Enforcement Authority want to try to collect their amount outstanding through enforcing a bankruptcy in Saab. Reporting the claim to the Enforcement Authority is simply a way of getting their claim prioritized in case of a bankruptcy in Saab. The 54 claims reported to the Authority amounted to SEK 23 million yesterday, but Saab's debt to suppliers is unquestionably much larger.

Swedish online newspaper GT has a list of all the claims reported up to yesterday. Some of these 54 claims might have been paid by Saab without the list from the Enforcement Authority being updated. Anyway, here are the companies that have reported their claims on Saab to the Swedish Enforcement Authority.
