New Minister of Enterprise to do all she can to help Saab survive

A few weeks ago Sweden got a new Minister of Enterprise. Our old "friend" Maud Olofsson retired and Annie Lööf took over the position. They both represent the Centre Party. Among Saab fans the old Minister, Maud Olofsson, is probably best known for her statement in 2009 that they should rather produce wind mills than cars in Trollhättan. Let's hope the new Minister shows more intelligence and insight when dealing with the high tech automotive industry in Sweden. Any way, she has started well.

"As Minister for Enterprise, I will do all I can so that Saab will live on and that the jobs will remain. It is therefore quite natural for me to work for a policy where we invest in green technologies, in which we will strengthen the competitiveness and where we consider both the major car companies but also all the small subcontractors that are in that area, " the new Minister of Enterprise Annie Lööf said to di.se.

She would however not comment on recent reports about Government meddling in the ongoing reconstruction of Saab.
