Saab deal done, press conference at 13:00 CET

According to a press release form the Saab bankruptcy administrators, an agreement to sell the assets of Saab Automobile AB, Saab Automobile Powertrain AB and Saab Automobile Tools AB has been reached and the bankruptcy administrators have called a press conferense at 13:00 CET today. The buyer has however not been named.

Seeing that the deal includes only the Saab companies which have filed for bankruptcy and not Saab Automobile Parts AB, this points to National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) as the buyer. As does Sweden's National Debt Office's statement from a few days back that they will keep Saab Parts. But maybe most telling is the comment of the Chairman of NEVS:

"I won't say anything, but I am in a good mood today," Karl-Erling Trogen said to GP.se

So get ready to exchange the turbo with a battery!
