Swedish government wants another investigation of Antonov
According to TTELA/TT, the Swedish National Debt Office is once again looking into Vladimir Antonov. I assume this is an check to see if he and his group is fit as owner of Saab. The investigation was ordered by the Minstry of Trade 1 April, but has not yet been concluded. It is also written that the resistance against Anotnov seems less dominent now than 18 months ago when Spyker Cars and Antionov first tried to buy Saab.
Here's a translation of the interesing paragrahs of the news story:
The Debt Office is investigating the Russian financier Vladimir Antonov, who wants to buy into the Saab, at the request of the Department of Trade.
According to Håkan Lind, the department press officer, the investigation was ordered 1April, but it is not yet finished, radio P4 West reports.
Antonov has previously appeared as an unattractive option for the government. The attitude now seems less negative.
