According to news in Swedish press, Victor Muller and a team from Saab is still in China negotiating with one or more Chinese companies. From earlier we know that the companies have been identified as Great Wall Motor Company, China Youngman Automobile Group and Jiangsu Yueda Group. A possible deal could include licenses, technology knowhow, a joint venture to produce and sell Saab cars in China, as well as a direct investment in Saab.
According to Swedish TV4 news today, a deal is very close. And Gunilla Gustavs from Saab has told Dagens Industri that Saab hopes to be able to give more information about a deal shortly, but she could not specify what shortly means.
I guess we just have to do what we do best: wait.
